Welcome to the Renaissance Place Neighborhood Website
Renaissance Place... an established community in the center of Indianapolis. Renaissance Place was a major catalyst in the redevelopment of downtown Indianapolis residential housing. A hallmark in urban Indianapolis living - Renaissance Place marked the first time Center Township residential building permits had been issues since the late 1940's. Developer Robert Borns sold out 120 condominium homes in a day and a half; the first completed residences were delivered to their owners in 1982. Located in an area immediately east of the Riley Towers and north of the Murat Shrine, Renaissance Place is ideally situated between Alabama Streer on the western perimeter, East street at the easter edge, Walnut Street to the south, and Arch Street at the north. Renaissance Place is convenient to the Mass Avenue Arts District, fine dining, Circle Center Mall, theater, IndyFringe, the new Cultural Trail, the Monon Trail linear park, the IUPUI campus, and fine grocery and service vendors.
